Manhattan Beach, circa 1978: three musicians form a band and California’s punk scene is forever changed. Now, years later, we’re still talking about the punk pioneers who influenced, well, everyone. It’s been a while since their last album (their sixth release, Cool To Be You, came out in 2004)—all the more reason to catch their show at The Fox Theater Pomona. Expect to find humor, social commentary and some curses in their timeless lyrics. Listen to some “Good Good Things”, especially if you can’t let go of your yonder-year favorites: “Everything Sucks”, “Days Are Blood, “I Don’t Want To Grow Up”, and “My Dad Sucks”.
