It’s been a while since we’ve been to a concert or stepped inside of a museum, and it might still be a while until we can do either again. But the Autry is giving us a virtual taste of both of those things right now.
For the museum’s Best of Los Angeles series, it’ll be premiering 20-minute–plus acoustic performances by L.A. musicians that were cinematically-shot inside of the Autry’s galleries. Every other week the Autry will release a performance from a different artist, including Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith, Chris Pierce, Aubrie Sellers and Gaby Moreno.
The series kicks off on August 14 with Goldsmith in front of James Doolin’s Bridges, a landscape painting of the 110 off-ramp onto the 5, as well as a basket made circa 1930 by Carrie Bethel.
