Expressions like criminally underrated are criminally overused, but in Josh Rouse's case, it seems unbelievable that the sweet-voiced singer-songwriter isn't playing giant venues. Now nine albums into his career (1972 and Nashville were the breakthrough discs), Rouse has shown himself to be an artist who delivers warm, witty, moving records time and again, the latest of which is The Happiness Waltz. Given that Rouse now lives in Spain, we recommend you try very hard to get into this show at the Troubadour.
