David Duchovny

David Duchovny—the X-Files and Californication star—has found time to dabble in music and he'll be showing his skills during a concert at the Roxy on Valentine’s Day. And while we would probably go just for the novelty factor, by the standards of actor side-project bands, Duchovny’s music might actually be… pretty alright? His record, Hell or Highwater, is sort of rootsy, sort of Americana. Duchovny’s distinctive, gravelly voice is clear in the mix, so it sounds like Fox Mulder is singing right to you—though the lyrics don't have much to do with aliens or government conspiracy.
