The Little Tramp here plays the poverty-stricken Lone Prospector during the Klondike gold rush of 1898. The 1925 Charlie Chaplin flick is famous for its imaginative sequences, like Chaplin eating a Thanksgiving meal of an old boot and laces or being imagined as a chicken by a starving and delirious prospector. See a restored 35mm print at the Hollywood American Legion Post 43, with a live score by Cliff Retallick and an intro by filmmaker Allison Anders.
