The Bed Cinema

If you’ve ever been faced with the opposing desires to both stay in bed and go out and socialize, then this alfresco screening series seemingly has you covered. The Bed Cinema sets up over 150 inflatable double mattresses for a country-touring screening series. Here in L.A., the event will set up in Venice Beach in August for a run of blockbuster movies. Though details are still forthcoming (look out for tickets to go on sale in late April), the event promises that each double bed comes with pillows, blankets and LED-lit bedside tables (which we can only hope will dim during the movie). If you want to partake sans bed, you’re welcome to bring your own picnic blanket.
