Seafood by the pier might not be a traditional Easter staple like hot cross buns, but we reckon Cafe Del Rey's Easter Brunch special might tempt you into uncharted territory. Their three-course prixe-fixe menu marries California spring produce—asparagus, beets, fennel—with flavors of the ocean. Their grilled tiger shrimp, marinated in curry and cilantro and served with a harissa vinaigrette, screams Asia-meets-Africa fusion. For those in search of something more familiar, brunch staples such as eggs Norwegian and crab cake sandwich will satisfy cravings. A choice of sparkling wine, cider, mimosas and Bloody Marys is also included in the brunch—just in case you're not drunk on the seaside views by the end of the meal.
