The dialogue of this Belgian romantic drama may require subtitles, but the film's catchy, Mumford & Sons-esque soundtrack is in perfect English. That's because main characters Elise and Didier—she's a tattoo shop owner, he plays banjo in a bluegrass band—fall in love over their shared affinity for American music and culture. But their idealism might not be enough when faced with a personal tragedy. The flick is a Best Foreign Language Film Oscar nominee this year—catch it at the Egyptian Theater, so you'll be well-informed come awards show.
