So Salvidor Dalí pens a screenplay for the Marx Brothers about a Spanish aristrocrat and a woman whose face is never seen. Nope, this isn’t the setup for a joke: This was an actual 1937 script, Giraffes on Horseback Salad, that was never put into production. But a few modern-day adaptations have existed, including a 2019 graphic novel from Tim Heidecker and pop historian Josh Frank that’s set to come to life at Dynasty Typewriter. The pair will present an evening of animation, sing-alongs and a live reading by Heidecker, Dave Foley and the Sklar Brothers (who’ll step into the role of the Marx Brothers).
