Jerry Stahl has written personally about his past as an addict before; his memoir, Permanent Midnight, was later turned into a movie starring Ben Stiller. Now he approaches the topic from a fictional perspective. The author and screenwriter will make an appearance to read from both of his new books: Bad Sex on Speed is a savage journey of a novel that's not for the faint of heart, and The Heroin Chronicles is a collection of short stories Stahl wrote along with fellow scribes Eric Bogosian and Lydia Lunch about the danger of the drug.
