Friday

Grab an ice cold beer from Machine Project's Mystery Theater Sports Bar to start your Friday night. For one long weekend, the Echo Park space is turning its basement theater into a genuine, bona fide sports bar with flat screen TVs, pints of beer and sports-themed video art.

Scope out some of the city's funniest female comedians during the Funny Women Festival at iO West. Tonight's performances include musical duo Erin & Melissa, sketch group Cake Batter and "The Improvised Musi-gal."

What it would look like if Tommy Wiseau (the director of the belovedly awful The Room) made his own version of Star Wars? Wonder no more thanks to tonight's The Star Room Wars parody performance at UCB Franklin.

Saturday

Rise and shine for a Repeal Day party in Venice. Townhouse celebrates its 100th anniversary with Prohibition era prices on all cocktails for one hour only—exactly when is a secret, but we expect it to be sometime after noon.

Head east and amp up your holiday shopping with a duo of Downtown holiday markets. Over at the California Market Center, rub elbows with different designers and artists during the Unique LA Holiday Market. Meanwhile, pop-up fairs Northern Grade and Parachute Market are taking over the Arts District for Holiday Shop the Block.

Show off your Simpsons knowledge in the late afternoon at Stonecutters LA. The monthly trivia challenge at NerdMelt is hosting a special Q&A with Simpsons producer Mike Scully.

Choose between two Silver Lake shows to keep the night going. At Los Globos, the dyslexia-inducing Fleetmac Wood invites you puff out your best Stevie Nicks bouffant for its "White Winged Love Disco" party.

Sunday

Take a trip to Carson on Sunday for the Goodyear Blimp Toys for Tots "Santa Claus Express" Toy Drive. Toy donations of any sort are a commendable deed during the holidays, but a chance to turn it into a fun afternoon? Even better. Tour the Goodyear Blimp's base camp and meet-and-greet with Santa while you're there.

Afterwards, look for wow-factor gifts of your own over a glass of champagne at the Shop for Her Pop-Up. The downright classy soiree and sale takes place in Hollywood's heavenly Lombardi House.

Hungry after all that shopping? Indulge in all your cheesy fantasies with our first ever Mac & Cheese Smackdown. Some of our favorites like mac-O-liciousLemonadeHorse Thief BBQ and more will battle it out for your vote as to who should be crowned the best mac and cheese purveyor in the city. To top it all off, tickets include two beers from Angel City Brewery and two pours of wine from Dark Horse Wines.

Close out your weekend at Judd Apatow's 48th annual birthday spectacular. Tickets for the Largo show will cost you a cool hundred bucks, but you'll be treated to performances by Jakob Dylan, Paul Williams, Maria Bamford, Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff and more.
