With the second season of True Detective behind us, and officially a bust, we’ve all been looking for a good excuse to venture back into the industrial oddity that is Vernon (the show's inspiration for the fictional city of Vinci). Enter Australian artists Dabs and Myla, who teamed up with local mid-century furniture powerhouse Modernica to transform a two-story building on the company’s property in Vernon. The resulting installation, titled "Before & Further," covers the interior and exterior with paintings, sculptures and decorations throughout the space. Visitors are welcome to interact with the various creative knick knacks in the exhibit—many of which are primed for Instagram postability—and can even purchase some of Modernica's limited edition Dabs Myla-designed furniture. The show's one month run will end this Sunday, November 15, which means it's our last chance to experience a whimsical addition of this already peculiar area south of Downtown Los Angeles

Beyond & Further will be open Thursday-Sunday from noon to 7pm at 2901 Saco St, Los Angeles.
