There's something special about waiting in line at Pink's in Hollywood for one of their famed hot dogs, something so touristy and yet so L.A. all at once. Getting to Hollywood can be a haul for some, though, and while there are a couple other offshoots in Los Angeles, the South Bay is undoubtedly Pink's-less.
Until now. Yesterday, the iconic hot dog stand opened up its first mall location, a Pink's Hot Dogs inside the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance. The city's mayor helped welcome the new eatery, along with Beverly, Gloria and Richard Pink, who help run the family business. In addition to their beloved menu that includes chili dogs, Chicago dogs and pastrami dogs, the new location offers the Del Amo Spicy Polish Dog. The opening is part of the mall's $300 million revamp that started a year ago, and there's more to come: Din Tai Fung, Lemonade, Brio Tuscan Grille, and Pressed Juicery are just a few more of the restaurants that are set to move in within the next few months.
The new Pink's is located at 3525 W Carson St in Torrance. Will you be checking out the South Bay spot? Let us know in the comments below!
