Have you heard? El Niño is making a comeback soon, which means your cravings for steaming hot bowls of comfort food are going to skyrocket. Our pick: chili. Maybe you like yours meaty, bean-y, spicy, piled with onions and sour cream... but you like it. Everyone likes it! In fact, we like it so much that we're throwing an entire event centered around LA's best. The Time Out Los Angeles Chili Bowl will take place on Saturday, February 27 at L.A. River Studios, and you're invited to try different varieties (turkey, veggie, you name it) all afternoon long.
For two hours (sessions are available from 11:30-1:30pm, 2-4pm and 4:30-6:30pm), attendees will be able to sample bowls of chili from LA restaurants making the best of the best. After working your way through each mouthwatering dish, you'll be able to vote on who you think should be named chili champ. There will also be beverages to wash everything down, a DJ spinning tunes and some chili-themed chalk art.
