We don’t often think of Sunset Strip and “leisurely drive” in the same sentence, but that wasn’t always the case. Reddit user woland2010 recently posted a colorful and nostalgia-inspiring video of “dashcam" footage from 1964 of a quiet drive down the Sunset Strip. The clip, which was originally posted to YouTube in 2013, is a two-minute time capsule of classic cars and vintage signage. The driver—who seems to have little care for red lights—heads west down Sunset from what seems to be Horn Ave to just past Doheny. While we loved seeing the old Largo sign, our favorite spotting is definitely the lime green Sparkletts delivery truck at the 1:42 minute mark.
