What if Tim Burton directed all of Disney's classic movies?
That's the query that inspired illustrator Andrew Tarusov to create his latest collection of photos. We're big fans of Disney and Burton, so this series is a real treat—Rafiki hoists Simba into the air on top of a Nightmare Before Christmas-styled Pride Rock; Pinocchio tilts his head down toward a shadowy Jiminy Cricket.
Although he is originally from Russia, Tarusov currently lives in Los Angeles, where he puts his 10 years of study to use. When he's not creating riffs on Disney characters, the artist specializes in vintage pin-ups. His work can be seen in publications including Cosmopolitan, Maxim and Rolling Stone.
