You're spending an entire month in Los Angeles. Do you hit up the city's top attractions? Explore the museum circuit? Tackle L.A.'s best tacos? If you're artist James Curran, you do all of the above and create a GIF for each day you spend in L.A.—all 30 of them.

Curran decided to turn a July spent in Los Angeles into a bit of an art project, with a new animation every day for 30 days. Each one is inspired by something that the London-based director happened upon during his stay.

So what did Curran encounter during his stay here? Just about every delight and frustration that L.A. has to offer. Check out all 30 animations in the fantastic video below.

Though the video above presents all 30 animations at once, you'll find on his Tumblr account that Curran indeed stuck to his GIF-per-day mandate. And really, Curran simply nailed it with his animations. Has there ever been a more perfect summary of the Sisyphean struggle to find street parking than this GIF?

Or the sudden ability to imbibe all the water during a hike on a hot day?

The rest of Curran's animations reflect a mix of touristy spots and local favorites, like a movie at Los Feliz's Vista Theater.

And a gleeful gallop through Chris Burden's Urban Light at LACMA.
