Afterward, swing by the Los Angeles Modern Design Show & Sale at Culver City's 3Labs to shop for (or pine after) 20th-century furniture, and decorative and fine arts from across the globe.
Keep making your way west for Eat|See|Hear's screening of The Princess Bride. Local band Mothlight and a stable of food trucks round out the screening of the beloved '80s fairy tale parody at Santa Monica High School.
On the other side of town, spend an evening with alt comedy icon and Mr. Show and Arrested Development star David Cross as he brings his first stand-up tour in seven years to Downtown's Palace Theatre.

Sunday
Explore the history of early Los Angeles life during Museums of the Arroyo Day. Brush up on early LA architecture and see some historic relics with free admission to six museums, including the Gamble House, Heritage Square and the Lummis Home.
Make your way to Grand Central Market for a Pickle Party, where you can peruse a pop-up pickle market and learn all you need to know about fermenting at home.
Head over to the Hammer Museum for the final day of Leap Before You Look: Black Mountain College 1933-1957. Examine the short-lived experimental college's legacy with more than 250 objects from the school that gave rise to the likes of Robert Rauschenberg and John Cage.
Take in a show with the entire Los Angeles basin as your backdrop at sound. at the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook. This free public concert features new works by experimental guitarist and Best Coast member Bobb Bruno and trumpeter Dan Clucas, as well as a huddle dance from choreographer Simone Forti.
Reward all of that walking with a stop in the Arts District for the Angel City Heritage Festival. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Downtown brewery or just relax, listen to the music, fill up on grub from local food trucks and knock back a few beers.
