Friday
Start your weekend in Griffith Park at Odd Nights, a night market at the Autry packed with everything imaginable—beer gardens, live music, bounce castles, more than 200 artisan vendors—and then some (i.e. horse parking, yes, horse parking).
Afterward, head to Rockwell Table & Stage for the Unauthorized Musical Parody of The Big Lebwoski. See the Dude abide in this campy musical send-up of the Coen brothers' cult classic.
If you're up for something a little more unconventional, catch a limited-run performance of Anatomy Theater at REDCAT. See an 18th-century English murderess confesses to her crimes and undergo a public dissection—all while singing operatically.
Head next door and make it a late night for the next (hip-hop-themed) installment of Sleepless: The Music Center After Hours. Watch as the cultural institution transforms into an interactive performance space with live music, dancing and roller skating in the basement.
Saturday
Make it a meatless morning at the Rose Bowl on Saturday at the LA Vegan Beer & Food Festival. The annual Pasadena smorgasbord features more than 80 craft breweries, wine, kombucha, cold brew and craft soda vendors, along with more than 70 vegan food stands.
Alternatively, drink your weight in beer at LA Center Studios during the LA Beer Week kickoff. More than 80 breweries will be in attendance, and you can expect to see a lot of your local favorites—Highland Park Brewery, Smog City, El Segundo Brewing and more.
Catch an LA Conservancy-hosted matinee of Singin' in the Rain at the latest Last Remaining Seats screening. There are two screenings at the Theatre at Ace Hotel on Saturday, both hosted by film historian Patricia Ward Kelly, widow and official biographer of actor Gene Kelly. If you're hungry before the screening, make sure to take advantage of $1 sandwiches at Cento Pasta Bar just up the street.
Return to the Autry for the Sunstock Solar Festival, a 100 percent solar powered fest. Local artists, vendors and food trucks will descend on Griffith Park for the clean energy fest, with a bright musical lineup to boot: Cults, Wavves, Kaki King, Allah-Las, the Big Pink and more.
If you're looking for free entertainment, take your pick between these two concerts instead: Moses Sumney headlines another installment of Saturdays Off the 405 at the Getty while KCRW Summer Nights arrives at Chinatown Central Plaza.
Sunday
Shop among a carefully chosen line-up of local artists and artisans at Parachute Market. This weekend's fair takes place at MAMA Gallery in the Arts District.
Head up the street to Angel City Brewery for their Father’s Day Food Truck and Music Fest—you did remember today's Father's Day, right? The family-friendly fest's name really says it all; for the adults, you can also sip on Angel City's limited-release Salted Caramel Gose.
If you're looking for more family-friendly events, scope out the Paseo Colorado for the Pasadena Chalk Festival. Watch where you step as dozens of chalk art masterpieces cover the sidewalks; today only you'll find the Police Classic Car Show as well.
Close out your weekend at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre to catch John Mulaney and Nick Kroll in their two-man show, Oh, Hello. This must-see comedy play stars their popular Kroll Show characters, the aging curmudgeons and Upper West Side weirdos George St. Geegland and Gil Faizon.
