Nobody said Snoop Dogg had taste. The rapper (Or is it reggae artist? These days we're not really sure.) gave a ridiculously styled old-school convertible to none other than Kobe Bryant in honor of his newly retired status, because, you know, he can't afford one on his own.
But maybe this is more a gift for us Angelenos because the car is unmissable, so next time you're in traffic next to a bright purple and gold convertible with "Show Time" painted on the hood along with various Lakers players, you'll know exactly who's driving. Oddly, the largest person depicted on the car is Snoop himself, donning a Lakers jersey with the number 20 on it—Bryant's number for those of you who didn't connect those dots—and holding a trophy. Hopefully that's not the last new trophy the Lakers will see.
The interior of the vehicle features white leather seats emblazoned with the word “Lakers” and a dashboard that continues the purple and gold aesthetic. No stranger to social media, Snoop took to Instagram to share the news of his gift. While the photos are a bit blurry and awkwardly-cropped, they are nonetheless a touching reminder of the power of friendships. And hopefully Kobe will actually use the car and we'll see it driving down LA's streets—it may just give Angelyne's bright pink corvette a run for her money as the most recognizable car in LA.
