If you've ever contemplated becoming a Sugar Baby, now's your chance to check out the scene before committing. On Friday, May 20, at the Avalon in Hollywood, seekingarrangement.com is hosting a Sugar Baby Summit to "coach would-be Sugar Babies in the fine art of scoring a Sugar Daddy."

Already lost? Let's back up a bit—here are a few definitions for you to chew on:

Sugar Baby: A Sugar Baby is typically young, open-minded and maybe a little short on cash. Sugar Babies come in numerous varieties, from aspiring models to college students, young professionals to single parents. A Sugar Baby provides companionship and excitement to a Sugar Daddy or Mama and in return may require a monthly allowance or that specific financial needs be satisfied.

Sugar Daddy/Mama: A Sugar Daddy or Mama is generally a financially well-off individual in search of a younger, attractive companion who needs a little financial assistance. Sugar Daddies/Mamas can be married or single, and the arrangements they establish with their Sugar Babies can be sexual or platonic in nature.

Arrangement: An Arrangement is a negotiated relationship between a Sugar Daddy or Sugar Mama (the benefactor) and a Sugar Baby. The benefactor agrees to financially assist the Sugar Baby in return for companionship. Ideally, the terms of the relationship are clearly spelled out so both parties get what they want.

Okay, back on track. According to a recent press release, the Sugar Baby Summit will feature progressive courses on creating an appealing profile, acing first dates, maintaining online safety and negotiating an allowance with your newly snagged Sugar Daddy or Mama. There's also a course called "Sugar Finance" to help Sugar Babies spend, save and invest their Sugar funds wisely—the course also covers legal and tax issues (we assume this could get complicated). Information will be presented by seasoned Sugar Babies, as well as financial advisors and lifestyle experts.

Tickets are $100 a pop (parking will cost $10 extra), and the Summit runs from noon to 5pm. The event is 21+, and the dress code is business casual, though attendees are "welcome to dress up." Still curious/confused? Learn more on the Seeking Arrangement website, which is just one of many Sugar Baby networks. Happy arrangement seeking!
