The lines at Shake Shack in West Hollywood are already daunting, but if you're willing to wait it out a little (okay, a lot) longer tomorrow—and be one of the first 100 people in line—your efforts will be handsomely rewarded with a free Shake Shack signature burger: the ShackBurger.
The giveaway is being held in honor of Shake Shack's 100th location, and while the lucky #100 isn't in LA (it's actually opening in Boston) celebrations are being held at Shacks across the country. “From our first-ever Shack in Madison Square Park twelve years ago, to so many incredible places in between, opening our 100th Shack at Boston Seaport is an epic milestone for us,” said Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti. “Here’s to bringing more Shacks to local communities around the world!”
From 10:30am-noon on August 16, you'll be able to snag the free burger as long as you're one of the first 100 in line (so count carefully, folks). The signature cheeseburger comes topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce on a Martin's Potato Roll, and while we can debate the pros and cons between Shake Shack and In-N-Out, the ShackBurgers are solid meals. Solid enough to wait a couple hours in line? That's entirely up to you.
