Looking for new things to do with the kids? If you've exhausted the more conventional options—or if playgrounds aren't sufficiently wiping out your little ones—consider a dance party that you might enjoy just as much as the rest of your family. Kids Dance Society, founded by parents Paul and Iskui, throws bi-monthly daytime events where kids (up to age 14) and parents (or guardians) can dance together to EDM, pop and club music curated by big-name DJs, at nightclubs and event and art spaces across the city.

The environment is fun, safe and inspiring, inviting kids to practice their dance moves and even see live performances by professional dancers. Off the dance floor, face-painters, hula-hoop dancers, bubble and confetti cannons, snack bar and cupcake vendors and a photo booth keep families entertained. Whether your kids are super energetic, bored with local dance class offerings or are just going through a breakdancing phase, Kids Dance Society will wind them up and wear them out. Oh, and there's a cash bar for the grownups.

The next K.D.S. event is on Saturday, June 17 from 2 to 4:30pm at West End Nightclub in Santa Monica. Grab tickets for the whole family here.
