Meet Chuck the Condor, the new Clippers mascot

The Los Angeles Clippers have their first-ever mascot, and it's neither a sailing ship nor Clippy, the annoying office assistant.

Chuck the California Condor, a friendly-looking vulture draped in an Evel Knievel-like costume, is the new face of the Clippers. He wears number 213—you know, like the area code—along with a Clippers cape and a California Republic helmet. In a bit of not-so-subtle co-branding, you'll also find his talons laced up with a pair of red oversized Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars.

The mascot was introduced during last night's halftime show at the Staples Center, where he challenged current Clippers owner, former Microsoft CEO and Chuck's self-professed wingman Steve Ballmer to a dunk competition. Here's video proof of Ballmer's trampoline-aided dunk:
