Update: Angel City Brewery is now throwing its first ever brunch to celebrate the new Srirachelada. It's this Sunday from 12-4pm at the brewery. Entry is free and there will be food for purchase from Tacos El Severo. You can also taste the Srirachelada and learn how it's made during the free brewery tours, held on the hour until 4pm.
Angel City Brewery is known for coming up with some out-there flavors; Avocado Ale and Orange & Cocoa Stout, to name a few. Now there's this beauty: the Srirachelada, combining two concepts that Angelenos hold near and dear to our heart. In a new video released by the brewery, the complexity of a michelada is broken down into its meticulous, multi-ingredient process, finished with over-the-top accoutrements like grilled cheese, a burrito and a piece of fried chicken. To which Angel City says: Fuck that. The Srirachelada (dubbed "Not your Abuela's Breakfast Beer") turns a Mexican cerveza on its head with tomato juice, sriracha, lime juice, agave, pickled banana pepper juice and Worcestershire sauce. Pour it in a glass, top it with a lime and you're good to go—and with an ABV of 4%, you can knock back a few over brunch.
The Srirachelada is available in Original and Spicy, and will be rolling out across LA throughout the month. To find it on draft and in bottles near you, use Angel City Brewery's beer finder.
