Pizza restaurants and pie shops throughout LA are offering some great deals, celebrating 3.14 and any dish that incorporates dough molded into a circle. Rustle up some cash and check out what it gets you today, March 14, a day when mathematicians and pie lovers converge in a perfect Venn diagram union.
simplethings: Stop by simplethings' Burbank, Santa Monica or W 3rd St location for a special lunch deal today: one savory pot pie with a side of greens and a sweet cutie pie for $12.
Whole Foods: Finally, we don't have to break the bank at Whole Foods. Take $3.14 off all pies today, along with $2 off "take and bake" pizzas.
Atticus Creamery & Pies: Coconut banana cream, Oreo cheesecake, strawberry pistachio, salted caramel—with mini pies on sale for $3.14, you'll want to snag all the flavors at Atticus Creamery & Pies. This special is offered until 10pm tonight at both locations (3rd St and Pico Blvd).
Made in Brooklyn: The newly-opened New York pizza truck is offering half-off whole pies from 11:30am-2:30pm. They'll be parked at 3000 W Olympic Blvd, and you can choose from options like artichoke pesto, triple-roni and omnivore (Bonus: all pies can be made gluten-free).
Pitfire Pizza: Head to any one of Pitfire's locations before 3:14pm and you'll be able to score one of their signature pies for $3.14 (dine-in only). The catch? You'll need to show that you follow the pizza chain on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter before you order. Math nerds will have an extra perk: anyone who can recite the number Pi in-house to the most decimal points (from memory, of course) will win a free pizza each month for an entire year.
The Pie Hole: One of our favorite pie shops in LA is offering a bunch of crazy flavors today, including a matcha green tea pie on a graham cracker crust. It'll disappear from the menu soon—along with a luxurious Thai tea pie—so get to it.
Pizzeria Mozza: The standard for pizza in LA has us covered this Pi Day with both sweet and savory options. Margherita pizzettes and slices of Meyer lemon gelato pie are available for $3.14 today—a complete meal, for less than $10.
