We've experienced all sorts of strange weather this year in LA—remember that heat wave? Or maybe you're still feeling the chill of last week's cold streak and the rain over the past few days. Yes, it seems we're finally starting to feel the effects of El Niño.
If you left the house this morning with your hair whipping in your face, channeling Dorothy Gale, you actually had it pretty lucky compared to several big rig drivers in Lancaster.
Although no injuries have been reported, at least six trucks toppled over on the 14 Freeway this morning in the Mojave Desert. The accidents shut down the freeway from Avenue D in Lancaster to the Los Angeles-Kern County line, according to ABC7. The freeway has since been reopened to passenger vehicles.
