Jess was recommended by her friend Steff: "I have this friend, Jess. She's like a glass of champagne on a hot summer day: cool, effervescent, refreshing and utterly intoxicating. In other words, she's the best. Jess is always on the lookout for enrichment, whether that means finding choice eats, cocktails, concerts, lectures, museum exhibitions or dance classes (and let me tell you, gents, she's got killer dancer's legs). She has an inspiring curiosity about all things and genuinely loves learning about other people. She's a wonderful conversationalist and that sparkling smile of hers could melt an igloo. Her style is both the delight and envy of those around her and is an apt reflection of her personality: creative, urban and fun with accents of sass. Most importantly, she's kind to her core and shines with a heart of gold that deserves to be romanced with some old Hollywood chivalry."

Here's Jess, in her own words:

What’s at the top of your LA bucket list? See the Watts Towers; a concert at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery;  an LA Kings game; bike ride/kayak down the LA River; star in a cameo on the Dodgers jumbotron; and a leisurely stroll through the Venice Canals.

What LA stereotype do you kind of live up to? I use the “mercury in retrograde” card when times are tough.

What's your favorite neighborhood? I’m a Westside woman but my heart is Downtown. There’s a creative pulse in Downtown that's addicting. I love indulging in the tasty food, art, and eclectic range of music the neighborhood has to offer.

Beach, mountains or desert? All three; I need my Vitamin D! Beach for bike rides and people watching. Mountains for fresh air, hot cocoa and hikes. Desert to escape city life and see quirky desert art.

FYF, Burning Man or the LA Phil? FYF forever.

Dive bar, cocktail bar or juice bar? I’m a lover. I don’t discriminate.

What's the most underrated part about LA? Parks. When it comes to outdoor public space, New York and Chicago get all the acclaim but there are some gems in LA like Grand Park or Kenneth Hahn State Park that deserve more love via picnics, BBQs, Instagram photoshoots, etc.

What are three must-have items you'd stash in your earthquake kit (aside from the necessities)? Three packs of Listerine strips for 24/7 minty breath.
