Eric was recommended by his friend Jennifer: "I have this friend, Eric. He is generous without expectation and is constantly supporting others—I just don't know how this guy is not married with kids! He's one of those people that is good at everything they do and also so modest. He DJs at night, moonlights as a photographer, builds websites and is an amazing dancer and friend. If there was anyone you'd want to explore this beautiful city of Los Angeles with, it'd be this green-eyed, taste-making nightlife aficionado."
Here's Eric, in his own words:
What's at the top of your LA bucket list? To produce a progressive, sustainable, waste-free, eco-friendly green festival that positively impacts the growth and development of the city and fixes some serious issues while helping it regain it's "edge" that is slowly but surely being buffed out and washed away on a regular basis.
What's the most overrated part about LA? Oh God. People who say LA is overrated? It's as good as you want it to be, and even better if you know the right people (ahem), with their heads on straight, coming from a good place.
What's the most underrated part about LA? How much time do you have?
What are three must-have items you'd stash in your earthquake kit (aside from the necessities)? My sanity, a picture of my mother and a bag of Hot Fries OR The 4 Agreements book.
Dive bar, cocktail bar or juice bar? Power Bar? Candy Bar? Monkey Bar? I spend too much time in bars, and I'm working on my own concept as we speak, which will hopefully "raise the bar" for our nightlife scene.
What fictional LA character would you most like to spend the day with? Mindy Kaling's character from The Mindy Project? I don't know, maybe I just want to hang with Mindy, almost as much as I wanna kick it with Queen Latifah.
What's your ideal first date spot and why? I never really think about a place being labeled for a specific purpose. If I know a woman is from a specific place or likes certain things, I'll do my best to give her three options. One that's something I know she'd like; then something new that may be more of an acquired taste and not up her alley; and finally a wildcard option, where we just wing it and see what's happening and new for both of us. Ultimately, all of this boils down to catering to her. I'm flexible and always open to trying new things, meeting new people and having fun in the process.
