It's the most wonderful time of the year! Nah, not Christmas. We're talking about Repeal Day (Monday, December 5), when those cocktails we're used to drinking for $13 are suddenly slashed to a dollar or two. From a swanky restaurant in Hollywood to a tequila bar in Highland Park, here are the best—and cheapest!—places to drink this Repeal Day.
Cole's: The Downtown watering hole is offering food and drink specials, including two classic French dips and two sides for $19.08, plus Prohibition cocktail specials starting at $5 and Mama's Little Yella Pilsner for $1.90. Stop by from 11am-close to take advantage of these deals.
The Wallace: The bar at the Wallace is offering a whiskey-only menu from 5:30-10pm, with $8 whiskey specials, $1 oysters, $6 fried calamari and a selection of nuts and olives.
Paley: Head to the glamorous Hollywood restaurant and bar for a selection of $5 cocktails served from 2:30pm until close. Choose from the Bee’s Knees, Rye Manhattan, Moscow Mule, Paloma and the Penicillin.
Faith & Flower: Cocktails for $1? Count us in. Faith & Flower is offering a Havana Club Puerto Rico punch for $1 on Repeal Day, along with a selection of classic cocktails that range from $9 to $12.
TART at the Farmer's Daughter: Choose from vodka, tequila, whiskey or rum to create a Repeal Day Mule at TART, where the drink is running for only $5.
1933 Group: You know the deal—every year, the 1933 Group offers $1 cocktails at each of their bars. Snag an old fashioned for $1 at Idle Hour, Highland Park Bowl, Harlowe, Sassafras, Bigfoot West, Bigfoot Lodge, Oldfield's and Thirsty Crow, and a $1 tequila press at La Cuevita.
