While some feel there’s no such thing as a free lunch, it’s hard to argue the existence of free coffee—one of the most blessed gifts a caffeine-loving Angeleno can hope for. Thankfully, there’s a new Blue Bottle Coffee in town, which means that the day before the grand opening, you can stop by for “community day,” a preview that includes a free cup of drip.
Mixed-use project Robertson Plaza hits the ground running this weekend; its first concept, stylish cocktail bar Bibo Ergo Sum, opens tomorrow in the 170,000-square-foot plaza, and Blue Bottle is set to follow with an opening this Sunday. But, as is often the case with the Oakland-based roastery and retail chain, the new café will host a “community day” prior, for anyone who wants to grab a free cup of coffee and preview the new location.
On Saturday from 9am to 3pm you can drop by the newest Blue Bottle—marking the the twelfth Blue Bottle in L.A.—which sports patio seating, an indoor communal table, monthly brew classes and, of course, a pastry case and items like avocado toast.
Looking for more than free coffee? A selection of pastries, merchandise and beans will be available for purchase, with all sales proceeds benefiting the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
The latest Blue Bottle Coffee is located at 116 North Robertson Boulevard, opening on Sunday, November 19, serving from 7am to 7pm, daily.
