We were just about to bump our East Coast friends' incessant Hamilton references from "annoying" to "insufferable," but now Angelenos, too, will be able to get in on all of the colonial verse-spitting fun.
Hamilton, the hip-hop-influenced Alexander Hamilton musical, will make its way to the Pantages Theatre in summer 2017, where the acclaimed production will stay through at least the end of the year. It rounds out a spectacular 2016-2017 season at the Pantages, including a six-week return of The Book of Mormon, as well as limited runs of An American in Paris, The Bodyguard, Finding Neverland, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and The King and I.
Season tickets are available right now as part of a seven-show package, beginning at $236. You'll have to hold tight if you only want individual tickets; the theater has yet to announce an on-sale date for those.
It's not the first time Hamilton will set up shop outside of Broadway—it's scheduled for an open run in Chicago starting this September—but it is the production's first national tour, which will premiere in March at the SHN Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco.
