Google Express will now deliver groceries—including booze—to your LA home

Grocery delivery services in LA are nothing new, but they do have a new competitor. Google Express has expanded into LA, making our dreams of never having to deal with traffic for a bottle of wine that much simpler.

The company pairs with existing stores, including Costco and Whole Foods to deliver fresh groceries, frozen goods and booze. But they don't stop there; you can also order items from Target, REI, Bed Bath and Beyond and more.

While some outlets are reporting that the service is only available on the Westside—which, if true, would make it the best side—we entered the zip code for our office location in Downtown LA and were told they were able to deliver to us. So while it may be available only to certain customers, even if you're not on the Westside, it's worth giving it a try.

There is a free three-month trial for those who want to give it a shot, after which it will cost $10 a month or $95 a year to become a member. Membership isn't necessary, but there are perks: for example, delivery prices vary from free to $2.99 for members and are $4.99 for non-members. (There may be additional fees depending on items ordered and the selected delivery time.)
