It's National Burger Day, and while our arteries are slowly becoming clogged just by writing those words, we're also having some serious hunger pangs for a quality patty. Fortunately, burger joints around town are celebrating with their own specials, including discounted dishes and free upgrades. Head to one of these spots for a burger bonanza, clogged arteries be damned.
Barney's Beanery: The popular sports bar is offering $5 burgers and fries all day at all locations.
The Melt: The first 100 customers to walk through each of their locations (Sunset & Fine, Westlake, Burbank and Irivne Spectrum) will receive a free burger (holler!). If you're not one of the lucky recipients, you can still enter to win free burgers for a year by posting a photo of your burger and tagging it with #burgerlover and @TheMelt on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
Dog Haus: Upgrade any Haus burger or Build Your Own Burger to a double with cheese for free. Available at all Dog Haus locations.
Cassell's Hamburgers: Watch chef Christian Page show off his butchery skills as he breaks down an entire steer, grinding the cuts into savory burgers for one night only. Stop by from 5pm-close for a special burger menu (we're digging the skirt steak and eggs burger with a hash brown bun).
Umami Burger: Each diner who visits Umami today will have the option to donate the cost of a burger to a food bank OR receive a coupon for a free burger, redeemable in June. How's that for a guilty indulgence?
Komodo: Available until Friday, Komodo's signature Burgerrito Burrito will be knocked down from $8 to $5.
