A year ago, club night Taking Back Tuesday invited Angelenos to cake on the eyeliner for an emo night at the Short Stop. When the nostalgia-drenched dance party quickly grew too big, it moved to the Echoplex, where it began its monthly run and expanded into other cities.

Now, the emo dance party is celebrating its one year anniversary with a "Sad As Fuck" party on December 1. The event will take over four stages at the Echo, the Echoplex and both outdoor patios. In addition to DJs, the night will feature a few live bands as well as acoustic performances.

Though the full lineup is yet to come out—the organizers say it'll roll out slowly over the next month—we expect big things. In the past, Emo Night LA has organized concerts with the likes of Say Anything and featured guest DJs like Blink 182's Mark Hoppus.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, November 4, at 10am on the Echo website ($20), as well as in person at tonight's Taking Back Tuesday. Alternatively, you can tag a photo of this billboard on Sunset and Parkman with the hashtag #‎SadAsFuck for a chance to win a pair of tickets.

One year ago on a rainy Tuesday we invited all of our friends to a dive bar in Echo Park to sing along to our favorite songs. Together we've grown this thing into something really special.... So let's celebrate!! On December 1st we're taking over The Echo, The Echoplex, and both patios for the biggest emo night with the most epic line up yet. We're doing advanced tickets for this one... It's been free all year but in order to pull off the shit we want to do for this one tickets are $20. A limited amount of presale tickets will be available tonight at #EmoNightLA. Tix officially go on-sale at 10 AM tomorrow on the echo website. Go take a picture of this billboard on Sunset and Parkman, hashtag #SadAsFuck for a chance to win a pair of tix!
