Winter is… well, not so much coming as actually here, at the moment. As is the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Season Six of Game of Thrones. To celebrate the discs hitting the market, a special interactive exhibit is popping up at Hollywood and Highland to make you feel like you’ve gone right to Westeros.
Fans can RSVP to attend “Game of Thrones: Behind the Scenes” on December 9 or 10 and prepare to explore an elaborate installation. As TV Guide reports, the experience consists of five huts, each recalling a particularly memorable moment from the show.
There are virtual reality activities, opportunities for photos where your face will be green-screened right into the HBO hit and a chance to view the bonus content included on the new DVD release. And, yes, you can sit upon the Iron Throne, which is the Instagram gold they know you actually came for.
As real-life television experiences go, this one may not be as wholesome as the Gilmore Girls village or silly as the Seinfeld apartment, but we still expect the Thrones-lovers to turn out in droves to get inside the fantasy world of their favorite drama.
Game of Thrones: Behind the Scenes will be at the Hollywood and Highland complex on December 9 and 10, from 12:30pm to 8pm. Admission is free with RSVP, though RSVP does not guarantee entry. Due to mature content, all attendees must be at least 18 years old.
