It seems like before we even finish scraping our Thanksgiving plates clean, we're already thinking about Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and whatever else the holiday powers that be decide to throw at us this year. If you're not inclined to lining up at midnight in order to score a discounted TV, there's a better way to take advantage of Black Friday: through your stomach. These L.A. restaurants are offering food and drink specials the day after Thanksgiving to keep your holiday spirit alive—even without a new Bose sound system.
E.P. & L.P.: The West Hollywood hot spot is offering a one-night-only "Chinese Classics Banquet" menu, with chef Louis Tikaram switching up his usual lineup for vegetarian dumplings, salt and pepper squid, pork neck dan dan noodles, deep fried ice cream and more. Dishes range from $5-$20, and will be available from 6pm-close.
Salt's Cure: If you are in the mood to shop today, fuel up at Salt's Cure first—they're offering a special Black Friday Brunch with biscuits and gravy, a savory 2x2x2 (two farm fresh eggs, two house-made sausage patties and two slabs of house cured bacon) and their bomb oatmeal griddle cakes. Brunch starts at 10am.
Public School: Stop by any of the Public School locations for the launch of their eggnog cocktail on Black Friday. It's called the Winter Break, and it's made with spiced rum, heavy whipping cream, Licor 43, cinnamon maple syrup and egg white. Because once Thanksgiving is over, Christmas season has officially started.
Michael's on Naples: This Long Beach favorite is closed on Thanksgiving, but they're offering a special three-course, $50 meal on Black Friday, with dishes that include duck confit agnolotti, osso bucco, seared scallops and pumpkin gelato.
Pressed Juicery: If your juice habit is draining your wallet, consider Pressed Juicery's Black Friday deal (which actually runs from 11/23-11/28). You'll be able to score four juices for $20 at any location—perfect for that post-turkey cleanse.
