As someone who believes in treating herself to dessert every day—a piece of chocolate, an ice cream cone, a monstrous brownie—I fully support any chance to give dessert the spotlight it deserves. But an entire week dedicated to dessert? Pinch me, I'm dreaming.

Enter Dessert Week, a sugar-laden event taking place on October 9-15 and culminating in a festival that celebrates 25 dessert vendors around town. Throughout the week, these 25 bakeries and ice cream shops—voted on by sweet-toothed Angelenos—will offer select treats, deals and discounts, then offering samples and full-size desserts at the Dessert Festival in Pershing Square on October 15. Specific deals haven't been announced yet, but here's the full lineup:

Salt & Straw
SusieCakes
Beverly Hills Beignets
Saffron & Rose Ice Cream
Porto's Bakery
Diddy Riese
Sprinkles Cupcakes
Jamaica's Cakes
Coolhaus
Gelateria Uli
Wanderlust Creamery
Ice Cream Lab
The Pie Hole
Cream
Frostalicious
Hello Sweetie Pies
Nothing Bundt Cakes
Breadologie

Tickets to the Dessert Festival (1-10pm) range from $15 for general admission (or $20 at the door; ticket includes samplings from 10 vendors of your choice) to $25 for VIP (or $30 at the door; ticket includes samplings from all 25 vendors, early entrance and one drink ticket). To drink, beer, wine and champagne will be available, and attendees can also enjoy lawn games, live music and a pie eating contest.
