It's so close we can almost taste it—Shake Shack's Los Angeles debut, scheduled for this spring. In the meantime, the New York burger staple is popping up one night—and one night only—at Son of a Gun on January 25, where expectant diners can sample Shake Shack favorites from 6-11pm. The restaurant isn't taking reservations, unfortunately, so get there early and be prepared to wait.

What's on the menu next Monday? Well, the ShackBurger ($6) for one, along with crinkle cut fries ($4) and Son of a Gun's tuna melt ($8). For dessert, the Shackwich ($4) will be offered—a chocolate whoopie pie stuffed with peanut butter frozen custard and toffee. Cocktails, including a Moscow Mule and Citrus Rum Punch, will be available for $8, as well as beer and wine.

It's a bit of a perplexing partnership, since Son of a Gun is known for their pricey lobster rolls and date-night atmosphere. But the crinkle cut fries will feature a sprinkling of malt vinegar aioli from chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, and the tuna melt is bound to be delicious. Besides—who says Shake Shack can't be a solid (read: cheap) date night spot?

Get a preview of Shake Shack in LA at Son of a Gun on Monday, January 25, 6-11pm. Son of a Gun is located at 8370 W 3rd St.
