Growing up, chances are you either owned a red polka dot dress with matching ears, or you have a sister who did. That's right—we're talking about that look that still comes out at least once a year around the end of October—the look first donned by now style empress, Minnie Mouse.

"Minnie Rocks the Dots" is a commemorate exhibition coming soon to LA for one day only that celebrates the iconic polka dot couture worn by everyone's favorite lady mouse. The retrospective will include fashion photography, an exhibit that takes fans through the history of Minnie’s influence on fashion and pop culture, and a custom dress designed by proprietor of "Fierce Inc.," Christian Siriano.

“I drew inspiration from Minnie Mouse’s ability to light up a room and designed a dress for her that is happy, playful and what I like to call ‘downtown chic,’" Siriano said in an official release. "I also infused some special touches to celebrate her classic polka dots." We're definitely intrigued.

Since she was first sketched in 1928, Minnie, along with Mickey (or as we'll call him, Minnie's boyfriend), have become the signature brand for the Walt Disney Company, and particularly lovable members of the cartoon canon. Even Lauren Conrad has just come out with a Minnie Mouse inspired line for Khol's. If you're an extra intense collector, the Disney store is releasing a limited edition Minnie doll on National Polka Dot Day, January 22, retailing at $79.95.

Too see it all for your yourself, head to The Paper Agency at 1050 S Olive St, Los Angeles. Everything will be free and open to the public on January 23 from 12-8pm.
