Bedrock LA's parking lot is transforming into Bedrocktoberfest—a festival of live music, magic, food trucks, shopping and a few Oktoberfest-inspired surprises happening this Saturday, all for $10.
Tucked off Glendale Boulevard in Echo Park is Bedrock LA, a massive one-stop shop for local and touring musicians to collaborate, record and hang out. Even if you're not a musician in the know, you may recognize the building's giant mural—which can be seen from space, fun fact—or maybe you've spent some time in one of its garage spaces playing pinball at Pins & Needles, or perused wares in the parking lot during Bitchcraft.
But the building's biggest event by far is Bedrocktoberfest, which takes place one day a year. This year's party will be hosted by German techno DJ Flula (of recent Pitch Perfect 2 fame), with music curated by DJ Lance Rock of Yo Gabba Gabba. Headlining the music portion of the evening is Money Mark, known as the fourth Beastie Boy for all the collaboration he's done with the group throughout the years. As for the magic, which happens earlier in the afternoon, expect to see a hilarious set from comedic magician David Kovac and illusions (illusions, Michael!) from the internationally-known Simon Coronel.
GA tickets are $10, and Taster Tickets, which include four free beers (one each from Lagunitas, Golden Road, Eagle Rock Brewery and Firestone) are $25. Either type will get you into the fest, and also grant access to an after party on the rooftop of the DTLA Ace Hotel and an after-after party at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Bedrocktoberfest will take place at Bedrock LA on Saturday, September 19, at Bedrock LA from 3pm-10pm. Grab tickets here!
