Sometimes, we're so enamored with a band that we'll pay up to see them anytime they grace a stage. And other times, we just don't want to endure the filth and exhaustion of a summer music festival to catch a mile-away glimpse of a band. Thankfully, for either scenario, we have festival side shows.

FYF Fest has announced the lineup for After Dark, a series of concerts between August 24 and 30. Beach House, Blood Orange, Saves the Day, Wolf Parade, Boris, DIIV and more are all set to headline intimate shows in the days before and after the late-August fest.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, July 15, at noon; check out the full lineup below.

Like Coachella's "Localchella" shows, After Dark slots selections from the FYF lineup into headlining sets at theaters and clubs around the city like the Theatre at Ace Hotel, the El Rey, the Regent and the Echo.

Of course, FYF Fest is still saving its biggest acts—Kendrick Lamar, Tame Impala, LCD Soundsystem, Grace Jones—for its two-day fest in Exposition Park. But the side shows are always a great opportunity for those who missed out on single-day tickets, but don't want to drop $199 on a two-day pass or are just flat-out over music festivals.
