Eerie, isn't it? Well, you have been warned: the President is back in Los Angeles today, and the city's insane traffic will become even more of a nightmare. He's here to tape an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and attend a couple of fundraisers. To avoid the madness, check out these closures and delays as reported by the LAPD:
Thursday
- The area around North Hollywood Way will be closed between North San Fernando Boulevard and Forest Lawn Drive from 3:15 to 4:45pm.
- The area around North Hollywood Way will be closed between Forest Lawn Drive and North San Fernando Boulevard from 4:45 to 6:15pm.
- The area around Rimpau Boulevard will be closed between West Pico Boulevard and West Sixth Street from 5:30 to 7pm.
- The area around Wilshire Boulevard will be closed between South Hudson Avenue and South Arden Boulevard from 5:30 to 7pm.
- The area around West Fourth Street will be closed between South Muirfield Road and Lorraine Boulevard from 7:15 to 8:45pm.
- The area around Crenshaw Boulevard will be closed between Wilshire Boulevard and West Adams Boulevard from 8:45 to 10:30pm.
- The area around Wilshire Boulevard will be closed between the San Diego (405) Freeway and Malcom Avenue from 8:45 to 10:30pm.
Friday
- The area around Wilshire Boulevard will be closed between the Westwood Village area and the 405 Freeway from 9:30 to 11am.
- The area around South Bundy Drive will be closed between Ocean Park Boulevard and the Santa Monica (10) Freeway from 9:30 to 11am.
Other Closures and Delays
- Police also warned that roughly 8-minute closures are anticipated on Sepulveda Boulevard between Lincoln and Century boulevards between the approximate hours of 2:30 to 4pm today and 9 to 10:30am Friday.
- Los Angeles High School will close at 3pm today, and South Rimpau Boulevard will be closed between Edgewood Place and West Olympic Boulevard from about 3 to 4pm
- In Burbank, Olive Avenue will be closed between North Pass Avenue and Hollywood Way from approximately 4 to 5:30pm
- South Rossmore Avenue in Hancock Park will be closed between West Third Street and Wilshire Boulevard from about 5 to 8pm, along with West Sixth Street between South Muirfield Road and South Arden Boulevard during the same time frame.
- South Windsor Boulevard will be closed between West Second Street and West Fifth Street, and West Third Street will be closed between South Plymouth and Lorraine boulevards from about 7:30 to 10pm
- Hilgard Avenue in Westwood will be closed between Weyburn and Le Conte avenues from approximately 10pm today through 10am Friday.
