A set of houses in Mid-City is trending on social media because of its eye-catching hue. Yes, this art installation is actually promoting a wine company. And yes, that is some smart capitalistic move right there. That doesn't stop us from appreciating a whole block of mid-century houses painted hot pink. You have to hand it to Nomadica Wine for knowing exactly who their market is.

Painted by Matty Mo, aka the Most Famous Artist, the houses will stay the new bright color through later this month. After that, they are set for demolition and will eventually be turned into a 45-unit apartment building.

We've written about this city's obsession with pink before, and this just further proves the point that this trend is here to stay for a while. Move over, Paul Smith wall

According to Curbed LA, the Pico Neighborhood Council members aren't too happy about the project, which was done "without the knowledge of the neighbors" and they're looking to get the houses repainted.
