Los Angeles is a great place to live (despite what some cranky New Yorkers might have to say about it), and it's easy for us Angelenos to talk about what we're thankful for, all the amazing things to do here and why our city tops the rest. But if we're being totally honest with ourselves, LA isn't perfect. Luckily we're a city of actors, which means we've gotten pretty good at convincing ourselves (and sometimes others) that the not-so-pleasant parts of living here aren't that bad. Here are the lies we tell ourselves the most, for the sake of our sweet sweet city.
1. I don't miss seasons at all.
2. I'm allergic to gluten.
3. People are definitely interested in reading my script.
4. If I leave early (or late) I can totally skip traffic.
5. I'm going to buy tickets to a show at the Hollywood Bowl this year. For sure.
6. My big break is coming. I can feel it.
7. This is the week I start waking up early to hike before work.
8. The wait won't be that long at Sqirl/Eggslut/Daikokuya.
9. This cocktail must be worth the $18 price tag.
