This Friday and Saturday, Insomniac Events brings the 2015 edition of Beyond Wonderland back to its Southern California roots at the San Manuel Amphitheatre in San Bernardino. Along with perpetual headliners on the festival circuit (Tiesto, Hardwell, Dillon Francis, etc.), the lineup also features pioneering underground dance artists of the 80’s and 90’s. Here are five acts that should not fly under your radar this weekend.

1. Carl Cox & Friends. A bonafide legend in house and techno music, Carl Cox will be working overtime this weekend. Not only does he perform a solo set Friday night, he will also be collaborating with Nic Fanciulli and others on the Cheshire Woods stage to close out Saturday night.

2. Maya Jane Coles. Maya Jane Cole was exposed to a wider audience when she was recently sampled by Nicki Minaj, but she’s been rising through the ranks of British house music for a while now.  Her discography includes a mix for taste-making London nightclub Fabric and a contribution to the DJ Kicks series.  Her set on Friday night will precede John Digweed on the Cheshire Woods stage.

3. Andy C. Innovating on the Drum and Bass sound that dominated the electronic landscape of the 90’s, British DJ Andy C will bring his signature “double bass drops” during a three hour set on Saturday night.   He will be joined by Philadelphia MC Armanni Reign.

4. Soul Clap. Soul Clap will bring their own variety of dark tech-house for a set on Friday night. Hailing from Boston, the duo founded Soul Clap records and even taught a course on dance music at Tuft College.
