We know Cinco de Mayo is dominating your drinking plans this week, but on the off-chance you're not celebrating with a margarita in hand, why not try one of LA's newest happy hours? A couple cocktail bars and restaurants around town have launched brand new specials for the post-work crowd. Your only task: making it to 5pm.
Santa Monica Yacht Club (Santa Monica): You have exactly one hour to take advantage of Santa Monica Yacht Club's new specials, but it's going to be a delicious hour. A $10 burger, $12 half-dozen oysters and plenty of boozy deals make this happy hour worth a visit. Sip on $6 beers, $7 wines and well drinks, and $8 specialty cocktails, like a Hemingway Daiquiri. Tue-Fri 5:30-6:30pm
The Fiscal Agent (Studio City): One of our favorite cocktail bars just launched both a daily happy hour and a reverse happy hour, and we couldn't be more excited to make our way to the Valley for some much-needed imbibing. Choose from a paloma, old-fashioned, martini, French 75 and a few more classics for $9, or opt for $4 beer or $8 house wine. There are also a couple food specials: $3 corn dogs, $4 tots and a $9 burger. Daily 5-7pm; Tue-Thu 10pm-midnight
Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop (Venice): Greenleaf's new location in Venice opened recently, and they're deciding to celebrate with happy hour specials all day throughout the month of May. This means you can find beer and wine for $5, cocktails for $7, and bites like BBQ wings, chicken nachos, and artichoke and spinach dip for $5. Mon-Thu 10:30am-10pm; Fri 10:30am-11pm; Sat 9am-11pm; Sun 9am-10pm; May only
And one to keep an eye out for...
Barcito (Downtown): The tapas bar will be launching a new aperitivo menu on May 9, with cocktails, beer and wine paired with salty snacks for a mere $8. Try a spritz, prosecco or Rome with a View (campari, dry vermouth, lime and soda) while unwinding at the end of a long day. Daily 5-7pm
