El Niño finally hit LA with necessary, but not really appreciated, showers this week. The inlanders among us are still drying off, but meanwhile in the beach cities, the storms and ocean currents turned the beaches into a surfer's paradise.
A lifeguard spokesperson told the Daily Breeze that the South Bay experienced about 15-foot waves across the board. And as a result, the beaches are taking a hit—the Manhattan Beach and El Segundo areas have lost about 40 percent of the beach.
Still, it's nice to know that some people are taking advantage of the wacky weather. Once you're done staring at photos and videos of water, head to the coast and check it out for yourself. Share your photos with us using #LAgram.
