While we generally like to look on the bright side of life in Los Angeles, we got to thinking about all the things, large and small, about this city that make us tense up. Not that we take stress lightly—for many people stress is a serious issue, and everyone deals with alleviating it differently. So take some personal time today to relax, which you might have to do after reading this list of the things we could do without.

1. Knowing that one asshole is using up all the water.

2. When hypodermic needles wash up on the beach.

3. The way that Chaz Dean looks at us from those billboards.

4. Waking up the morning after a night out and finding an In-N-Out wrapper in your bed.

5. Being forced to wade through hoards of tourists in Hollywood.

6. The line at Sqirl on the weekend.

7. Being named the most stressful city in America by Forbes.

8. Going for a walk Downtown, turning the wrong way and somehow ending up on Skid Row.

9. Seeing someone at the Grove with really unfortunate plastic surgery.

10. Just... the Grove.

11. Remembering the amount of pollution that the city produces.

12. Having to take the 101 at any point in time knowing that it’s going to be a parking lot; merging from the 405 onto the 10; getting off any exit Downtown or in Highland Park and really anything related to driving or traffic.
