Open since 1936, Tom Bergin's Public House has been gracing us with their exceptional Irish coffee and all around excellence for nearly 80 years, serving as a gathering place for the neighborhood—and for those who have to travel a little farther to get a taste of the homeland. Owner Derek Schreck and beverage director Brandi Boles have revamped the place with modern updates, an elevated menu and a creative cocktail list. Here you'll find wood-fired pork chops and beer battered fish and chips, along with 19 beers on tap, an impressive whiskey selection and libations that use locally sourced ingredients. Feeling nostalgiac for the old days? The shamrocks have remained, plastering the walls with the names of regulars and stars alike (Cary Grant's shamrock sits in a frame above a booth).
